What is the Personal Smart Inbox

The Workist Personal Smart Inbox allows your employees to connect their individual Microsoft Outlook mailboxes so Workist can automatically classify incoming emails and apply tags such as Orders or Requests for Quotation (RFQs).

To provide this functionality, the application requires a small set of Microsoft Graph permissions.

Below, we explain what each permission allows and why it is needed.

Permissions Requested

Smart Inbox requires the following Microsoft Graph permissions to read and classify emails while ensuring all processing remains limited to the user’s mailbox.

1. Sign in and read user profile

Permission: User.Read

This permission allows users to log in with their Microsoft account and lets Workist access basic profile information (such as name and email).
